HTC Launches New Smartphones - Desire, Legend and HD Mini
HTC, the company that recently made its Nexus One phone one of the most talked about handsets on the Internet, has recently unveiled three new smartphones. One of them is called Desire, which by the way looks a lot like the Nexus One.
The new handset from HTC runs on Android 2.1 and features a 3.7-inch AMOLED touchscreen, 5Mpx camera and its heart is the 1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon chipset.
However, Desire has something that the Nexus One doesn't - an optical joystick and an improved HTC's Sense user interface that makes it easier to use social networking services and manage contacts.
The second model from HTC is called Legend. The handset runs on Android 2.1 and includes an optical joystick and 320 x 480-pixel AMOLED screen. It differs from the Desire by having a forged aluminum casing.
The HD Mini is the third model from HTC, which runs on Windows Mobile 6.5. The device looks much like HTC HD2. The handset has a 3.2 passive touchscreen.
All of these new handsets from HTC will hit the European and Asian stores in March. Currently there's no information on whether these devices will appear in the United States. Later this year the company looks forward to launch phones that will run Windows Phone Series 7.
